Canard Ferme is in a hectare of
private garden, surrounded by sunflowers, poplar trees, corn fields,
fruit orchards, vinyards, ... so you will need a car to reach us, and to
visit the market towns and restaurants. TRAVEL
NEWS: Ryanair has a DAILY schedule of flights
from London Stansted (STN) to Bergerac (EGC), arrriving at and departing
from our part of France late afternoon every day. Log on to www.ryanair.com to
view the timetable and book your flight. Also new flights from
Birmingham (BHX) Bristol (BRS) Exeter (EXT) Leeds (LBA) and Southampton
(SOU) to Bergerac and Bordeaux by FlyBe; check out www.flybe.com. For Self-drive Motoring most of the usual firms have availability at Bergerac airport; but our own choice is a new best-value option, www.buggscarhire.com
Hire car from Bergerac airport via the D933 through Eymet: On leaving the airport turn RIGHT and go to the first roundabout (anticlockwise, give way to your left!). Do not go into Bergerac but take the third exit Bordeaux. At the next big roundabout watch for the D933 exit to Eymet, Miramont, Marmande. Half an hour later, at Miramont, go straight through the centre (except Monday - market day!) looking for signs to St Barthelemy. Now use the detailed map below and find St Barthelemy. Finally, take the Tourtres road (close by St Bart war memorial), over a small cross-roads and then the first turn for Labretonie (drive slowly, it's easy to miss it), pass a few farm buildings and a house called La Cachette until you see the view above. Well done, you've arrived! (Airport to Canard Ferme in under an hour) For other arrival/departure points please email for
alternative routes.

getting directions en route -- take your map!

If you intend driving here from some other
departure point -- perhaps driving all the way from the UK -- then plan
your route with the help of online route-finders. UK motorists will be
familiar with the AA service who also give information to major towns in
Europe at www.theaa.com, or for more detailed routes with maps
try www.viamichelin.com.
For maps only www.multimap.com
covers many countries, including France of course.
